The Scottish Ladies' Golfing Association (SLGA) and Scottish Golf Union (SGU) are committed to promoting and developing equity across golf and continue to work hard to promote a positive image of the sport.

Simply defined, equity is about fairness, justice, inclusion and respect.  The objective is to ensure that all individuals are respected, have equal opportunities to participate and have their rights protected.

As part of the commitment, both organisations are working towards the Equity Standard: a Framework for Sport which is a collaborative effort between the four National Sports Councils in Great Britain, UK Sport and equity organisations to achieve measurable standards for equity.

To date the SLGA and SGU have been working together to achieve the Foundation level of the Equity Standard.
