The development of plans to amalgamate the Scottish Golf Union and the Scottish Ladies' Golfing Association (SLGA) into a single governing body for amateur golf in Scotland are ongoing and we will continue to keep clubs, golfers and other stakeholders updated on its progress.

A joint working group, comprising 5 representatvies from each of the SGU and SLGA, independently chaired by Alastair Thornton, has been progressing formal discussions since January 2013 and you can keep up-to-date with this progress by acessing the minutes from the monthly meetings on the right.
