The second and final round of the 2010 SLGA Under 16 Open Championship took place yesterday, 9 April on a perfect day for scoring. The best under 16 golfing talent from Great Britain and Ireland did not disappoint with plenty of low scores over the Rannaleroch course at Strathmore Golf Centre. Emily Taylor from Royal Lytham St Annes stormed to a six under par second round 66, giving her a four under par total of 140. That was just enough to take the title by one shot from Ashley Crammond, The Warwickshire who shot a second round 68 for a total of 141. Georgia Hall, Ferndown and Bronte Law, Bramhall were 3rd and 4th respectively on 142.  | |

The Handicap Trophy was won by Katie McGarva, The Ladies Club, Troon, with a nett total of 132 (12 under par). The lowest nett score of the day and of the Championship was by Rachel Irvine, Largs, who shot a gross 79 off a handicap of 18 for a nett 61.  Prize Winners 2010
